I started Longer-Stays because I prefer living someplace over touring.  I've spent the better part of my life travelling.....and staying.  My idea of hell is packing and repacking a suitcase.  My idea of heaven is finding a spot that suits you perfectly and then learning to know it  -- the spot, the locale, the people -- in a deeper way.

The main platforms for vacation rentals are all about 'vacation', i.e. short-term and are long on superficial checklists and short on deeper connections.  Longer-stays truly wants to matchmake you to your perfect place.  Unless indicated, our descriptions are written by a person who has stayed in the property  (vs. the person marketing the property)  We work hard to give you the full picture, pluses and minuses of the property and the town, included.

So, if you like this property, schedule a conversation with us.  Once we're sure we're serving your goals for your longer stay, we happily connect you to your host who you deal with directly.

Town: Saint Antonin Nobel Val
About the Locale: Saint Antonin Noble Val is perhaps less well-known in some circles, but it is an utterly charming town. It is NOT easy to get to (no public transportation) and a bit of a drive from anywhere. But once you arrive, you're very likely to fall in love. The town itself is an medieval architectural marvel...
Biggest Pluses: The town....and the house. Right out of a movie set.
Peculiarities: No full kitchen. The town of Saint Antonin does not have public transportation and nearest hospital facilities are 40 minutes away. The kitchen is what most would call a kitchenette. No washer; wo...
Town: Saint-Emilion
About the Locale: The area around Saint Emilion has a reasonable claim on being one of the most beautiful in France (and that is saying something!) Saint Emilion is a jewel of a town (very discovered by tourists) and this local is about a 5 minute drive outside that town and smack dab in the middle of some of the be...
Biggest Pluses: Stunning scenery all around you, and village, town and big city pleasure easily reached.
Peculiarities: You are in heavily agricultural location (though not far from towns) Furnishings are good, but not fancy. WiFi network speed: 9 Mbps Verified by flow test. It is possible to watch HD videos in stre...
Town: Nice
About the Locale: In the Musicien neighborhood of Nice (a highly convenient and sought after neighborhood in one of France's most sought after cities.)
Biggest Pluses: Location, location, location!!!
Peculiarities: The main entrance is from Promenade des Anglais. It is covered at the moment and are in preparation for renovations ( not a pretty sight). Keyfob access where you will go through a series of passages...
Town: Uzes
About the Locale: Uzes is a uniquely liveable town, whose crown jewel is it's central Place Aux Herbes. Exquisite architecture, eminently walkable, superb nature nearby, a mix of old & new residents. Uzes's only major minus: no train, buses dependable but limited schedules.
Biggest Pluses: There are only a few 'jewels' like this apartment -- carefully restored, and in the vicinity of one of the finest market squares in all of France.
Peculiarities: Stairs up to bedroom and mezzanine, no elevator
Town: Vence
About the Locale: Vence is a large town, less than 40 minutes from the Nice airport, with easy access to the sea and the Alps, a busy, beautiful French town with a generous amount of artists and transplanted internationals. If your criteria are climate, beauty, access to transportation, Vence might just be the best ...
Biggest Pluses: Location, location, location and moderately priced!
Peculiarities: Layout of the apartment is a bit odd. The walk to the town is about 10 minutes, but fairly steeply downhill and narrow walkway at times.
Town: Uzes
About the Locale: Uzes is located in the South of France. While located in the Gard, in Occitanie, it's atmosphere is ofter described as Provencal, with the dappled light and medieval architecture associated with it's neighboring region. It is relatively flat terrain, about 40 minutes to the transportation hubs of ...
Biggest Pluses:
Peculiarities: The second bedroom is not quite as upscale. There is only one bathroom, not adjacent to either bedroom.
