Layout of the apartment is a bit odd. The walk to the town is about 10 minutes, but fairly steeply downhill and narrow walkway at times.
About the locale: Vence is a large town, less than 40 minutes from the Nice airport, with easy access to the sea and the Alps, a busy, beautiful French town with a generous amount of artists and transplanted internationals. If your criteria are climate, beauty, access to transportation, Vence might just be the best town in France. This apartment's location shines within Vence -- walkable to the center but away from the hubbub.
